They sighed in the small space in the elevator, mentally preparing themselves for the final challenge, Room 19. They didn't know what was going to be before them - all they knew was that this was going to be difficult. Very difficult. Through the previous 18 'exercise' rooms, they'd been battered, bruised, and nearly killed on multiple occasions. The only way they've survived was working together and trusting each others life to one another. They couldn't even think about what would be at the end of their trials - all they knew was they needed to get out. To survive.
Suddenly, the elevator shuddered to a halt with a horrendous metal-against-metal screech, knocking them both off balance. Confused, they looked at each other before an all-too familiar mechanical voice was heard.
"The Aperture Science Computerized Enrichment Center apologizes to the subjects, but room 19 has to go under immediate emergency repair procedures to ensure the safety to all test subjects. In place of Room 19, the subjects will be taken to a replacement room to commence on their final testings. Please enjoy your stay, and good luck.
You'll need it."
Before the couple could even think, the elevator's doors opened, releasing them. Carefully, they made their way out of the elevator to have the doors slam shut behind them, sounding much like a guillotine's blade slamming down.
They looked around, their eyes widening in horror. Of all the rooms they'd been in, this one was the most horrendous upon the opening hallway. There were blood splatters everywhere, hand prints sliding down following their previous owner's fate. Bullet holes and scratches were covering the walls, desperate warnings written all over the walls in a desperate attempt for a final message. Even the lit level sign, normally pristine and clean as in all previous rooms, was smashed and covered in blood and bullet holes.
The sign read 'Room 20 of 19' Such a simple message seemed to spell out the terror that was growing in the couple's chests.
They came to only one inevitable conclusion: They weren't coming out of this room alive.

Portal is just too good

God I don't know if I can even colour this properly, the way I want it to turn out.
I lave it <3
Everything except for the warning labels is hand drawn. The blood+crack over the labels is copied by hand, because I remembered finding a picture of that and I wanted to include it in the drawing. I found the original on google.
I am planning on coloring this artwork this month to honor the release of Portal 2! Please be sure to watch out for the colored version!
